Process of Obtaining Taiwan Residence Visa for Sri Lankan Students
1. It is requested that all applicants for a visa to Taiwan should fill in the application forms online and print the filled forms to submit
to the visa counter.

2. Applicants must attest their documents from Sri Lanka Deputy High Commission in India, before submitting visa documents to Taipei Economic and Cultural Center in Chennai.

Covering letter mentioning the purpose of the visit, the designation of visitor and the intended duration of Stay
Visa Application form (printed from online)
Passport (valid more than six months)
Two white Background Color Passport size Photographs
Acceptance letter from the selected University, Taiwan
Proof of Scholarship document/letter
B. Sc. Degree Certificate - Attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Sri Lanka and authenticated by the Sri Lanka Deputy High Commission in India.
B. Sc. Transcripts - Attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Sri Lanka and authenticated by the Sri Lanka Deputy High Commission in India.
No Objection letter from applicant’s current institute or university in Sri Lanka
Health Certificate - First attested by the Sri Lanka Medical Council and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Sri Lanka and authenticated by Sri Lanka Deputy High Commission in India.
Past Six Months Bank statements.
Confirmed Air Ticket to Taiwan.
3.2 Visa fees and authentication fees
Please visit Taipei Economic and Cultural Center office and get advice from the counter office before preparing any bank drafts.
Student Resident Visa: Rs.4400 - No cash or cheque.
Note: Express service charge with Rs.6600 but it is not available for Sri Lankan passport holders

Demand drafts only in favor of Taipei Economic and Cultural Center in Chennai.
City Union Bank is located on Mandaveli Street, off Norton Road.
Once visa documents are submitted to the Taipei Economic and Cultural Center, it takes a minimum of 7-15 working days to process a visa.
