Please check if the departments/institutes that you intend to apply are open to international students. Regarding the length of study in NCU, undergraduate program requires 4 years of study; however, students who are unable to fulfill their requirements within the designated time may be granted extensions of up to 2 years. Graduate programs, master degree and doctoral degree, require 1 to 4 years and 2 to 7 years, respectively. Students who enter graduate school are required to complete their thesis/dissertation on time.
The application qualification abides with the “MOE Regulations Regarding International Students Undertaking Studies in Taiwan.” Please read the regulations carefully. Applicants who are recommended to study in Taiwan under cultural exchange and cooperation agreements with foreign governments, schools, institutions and cultural or educational organizations, are not subject to the restrictions mentioned above.
International students with a high school diploma are eligible to apply for undergraduate studies; students with a bachelor’s degree are eligible to apply for Master’s programs; students with a Master’s degree are eligible to apply for P.h.D programs. Applicants with equivalent qualifications can apply for admission.
The application eligibility is based on "MOE Regulation Regarding International Students Undertaking Studies in Taiwan.” If the MOE (Ministry of Education) Regulations were revised, the most updated MOE Regulations shall prevail.
